Pakistan is an important team of international cricket and T20 cricket. Pakistan has won an ODI world cup in 1992 while the team also became champions of T20 world cup in 2007 after defeating Sri Lanka in the final match. Currently, the rank of Pakistan is 5 in the ICC T20 rankings and the team has qualified for the 2nd round of ICC T20 world cup 2016. In previous 5 T20 world cups, Pakistan played 30 matches out of which they won 18 matches and lost 11 matches while their winning percentage is 61.66%.


Apart from winning the T20 world cup in 2009, Pakistan also remained runners up in the 1st t20 world cup of 2007 and reached the semi final stage of 3rd and 4th T20 world cup tournaments in 2010 and 2012 respectively.


Famous all rounder Shahid Afridi is the captain of Pakistan T20 team while Ahmed Shahzad, Mukhtar Ahmed, Sohaib Maqsood, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan and Yasir Shah are the main bowlers, batsmen and all rouders in the Pakistani team who can take their team to another T20 world cup victory now after their first victory in ICC T20 world cup 2009.
