England Team Squad T20 World Cup 2016

Updated on: 26-06-2017 Author: T20 Worldcup 2016

England is the founder of international cricket. England remained one of the most important teams of international cricket since the start of the game while its matches, especially test matches, against Australia are very famous. So far, England has reached the final of ICC ODI world cups three times in 1975, 1987 and 1992 but the team could not win the ODI world cup even once.

Unlike ODI world cup, England team is not as unfortunate in the T20 world cup as they have won the ICC T20 world cup in 2010 when they defeated their arch rivals Australia in the final match. Apart from that, England could not perform well in the other 4 T20 world cup tournaments and never reached the semi final stage. England has so far played 26 matches in al the 5 T20 world cups out of which they won 11 and lost 14 matches and their winning percentage is 44%.

Batsman Eoin Morgan is the captain of English T20 team squad while other good players in the team are Joe Root, Alex hales, Ian Bell, Jos Butler, Moeen Ali, Ravi Bopara, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, Steven Finn, Chris Jordan and James Tredwell. English team will rely heavily on all these players for another World T20 victory.
